Marvin
Lipscomb
Marvin Lipscomb has been director of Colonial
House, Inc. since 1981. He holds a Master's Degree in Human
Services, is a Certified Addiction Counselor, and is a Certified
Clinical Supervisor. He has been certified since 1978 and currently
holds both state and international certification For 10 years he was
a member of the certification board for the state of Maryland, and
served as president for 2 of those years. Marvin is one of the
founders of the Halfway House Association of Maryland and has
numerous other professional affiliations.
He has traveled extensively in pursuit of better |

care for
addicted clients. To this end, he has guest lectured at a number of
treatment centers and conferences.
In 1999, Marvin was invited by
NADAC as a diplomat to China through the ambassador cultural
exchange program. He and a group of 39 other experts in the field
toured China and shared information on best practices in Substance
Abuse Treatment.
